QC Products’ Tapered Grip 5th Wheel Slick Discs fit standard-size kingpins. Our unique design will even grip kingpins that have wear and are out of round.
10-inch plates are intended for smaller trailers, such as 5th wheel campers.
Note that using a slick disc that is too small may result in it wearing out more quickly.

Recommendations
Please note that caution must be taken when hooking and unhooking as to not "catch" the disc with the tractor hitch causing damage to the disc. When backing under the trailer, the tractor’s hitch must be low enough that it does not catch the disc and fold it or wrinkle it. Once the tractors hitch is a few inches from the king pin, the disc will be over the flat portion of the tractor’s plate so then it is okay to refill the air suspension or lower the trailer jacks.
During normal tractor trailer maintenance intervals, you should inspect the disc for wear. Over time, you may notice thin or abnormal wear patterns in which case you should replace the disc with a new one. It is recommended to change out when disc when the thickness gets to 1.5mm or 1/16th of an inch.
Old discs can be easily removed using a pry bar.
It is recommended to always carry a spare QC Products’ Tapered 5th Wheel Slick Disc.
