OUR HISTORY
QC Plastics was founded by brothers Arnold and Lawrence Johnson in 1972. The custom plastics molding company first operated from their family garage in Independence, IA. Originally named “Quality Craft Corp”, the business outgrew its facility three times before settling in its current location in 2002.
In 1998, Quality Craft Corp acquired the A.E. Miller line of replacement Jeep parts and began manufacturing items (such as gloveboxes, fender extensions, heater plenums, and defroster ducts) alongside custom thermoforming and plastic machining projects.
David and Samantha Hardy purchased the company in 2016 with the goals of providing superior customer experiences and quality products for their customers. They renamed the business QC Plastics to better reflect its products and services.
In 2026, the Hardys established QC Products and began to sell their own line of manufactured plastic goods (such as 5th Wheel Tapered Grip Slick Discs) under that label. Their A.E. Miller Jeep Parts were also transferred under the QC Products company name at that time.

TERRI HUSKY, SALES MANAGER
Terri Husky began her career with QC Plastics in 2016. While her official position is that of Sales Manager, Terri has worked many days in our material and shipping departments as well as in the shop where she operated thermoformers, routers, mills, and lathes. This vast hands-on experience allows her to truly understand her customers’ projects.
Coming from a background managing retail sales for thirty years, Terri knows the importance of building relationships with her customers. Her favorite part of her job is meeting clients face-to-face and seeing how our plastic parts are used at their locations. Terri prides herself on knowing each of her customers by name. She always has a smile and a stash of Tootsie Pops to share.
